The Shanghai Charity Foundation’s Charitable Projects

The Terry Fox Run

The Shanghai Charity Foundation helps to organize the Shanghai portion of the Terry Fox Run, an international event which began in Canada as an effort to raise funds for cancer research. Now in its 9th year, the Shanghai Charity Foundation has established the “Terry Fox Fund for Cancer Research” which is solely dedicated to this annual event. In 2005, over 500,000 yuan was raised and donated to the Shanghai Charity Cancer Research Center at Ruijin Hospital.

In total, nearly 1.5 million yuan has been raised to help fight cancer in China.
